Which data is processed?

Legal basis for data processing

As part of the Google Cloud Summit, we collect data as part of lead scanning via the app provided by the organizer. We process personal data based on the following legal bases:

  • consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR)
  • based on legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR)

We will refer to the relevant terms in connection with the respective processing so that you can understand the basis on which we process personal data.

If personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent from us at any time with effect for the future.

If we process data on the basis of legitimate interest, you as the data subject have the right to object to the processing of personal data, taking into account the provisions of Art. 21 GDPR.

Data on the data subjects (“leads”):

If you register with us as a lead, we process this data:

  • Name
  • Email-Address
  • Company name
  • Job title
  • Telephone number
  • Country

This information is stored and used by us to show you other relevant content or to offer you further information. This can also be done by email or via the Linkedin platform.

You can object to this data processing for (including) advertising purposes at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs. 

Purposes of processing personal data

We process the aforementioned data to contact you for sales and marketing purposes or to protect our legitimate interests.

Recipient/transfer of data

Data that you provide to us will generally not be passed on to third parties. In particular, your data will not be passed on to third parties for their advertising purposes.

However, we use service providers for further processing of the data. If they process personal data on behalf of us, we have concluded the required data processing agreement with them in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

We select our service providers carefully – particularly with regard to data protection and data security – and take all measures required by data protection law for permissible data processing.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to Information about the personal data concerning you. You can contact us at any time for information. 

If you request information that is not made in writing, please understand that we may require you to provide evidence that you are who you say you are. 

Furthermore, you have a right to Correction or deletion or on Limitation processing to the extent that you are legally entitled to do so.

Finally you have one Right to object against processing within the framework of the legal requirements.

A right to Data portability also exists within the framework of data protection regulations.

Deletion of data

We generally delete personal data if there is no need for further storage. A requirement may exist in particular if the data is still needed to achieve the purpose, to check and grant or ward off warranty and, if applicable, guarantee claims. In the case of statutory retention obligations, deletion will only be considered after the respective retention obligation has expired.
